Stay alive while blasting hostile aliens in this fast-paced game!

This small game was developed as part of an assignment for Michigan State University's Coursera course, Game Design and Development 1, taught by Brian Winn.

I made the following modifications to the base game:

  • Constructed three increasingly difficult levels
  • Created more difficult enemies
  • Created all new music for each level plus the menu page using Garage Band
  • Created new sound effects for when the player's ship is hit or killed
  • Changed the visual look of the player's ship
  • Added text to the instructions page
  • Changed the text of the Game Over page
